The Teaching Approach

Myanna believes that a strong foundation, combined with a sense of the powerful beauty of music, will give a student the opportunity to love their instrument for life. She believes that a lesson atmosphere should be positive and give the student confidence to be the strongest player that they can.

Myanna, using books of exercises for the violin and viola, tailors the exact combination of technique to meet a student’s particular needs. Her teaching also emphasizes progress through the traditional repertoire. Weekly assignments are given from technical study books, etude books, duets, and one or more solo pieces.
